INSERTCART AWS WEB · HOSTING GUIDE
InsertCart AWS Web or AWS Amplify: which hosting workflow fits?
Compare a guided S3 and CloudFront deployment with Amplify Hosting without assuming either option fits every project.
Choose based on how you publish
Both workflows can publish a static website, but they organize your work differently. InsertCart AWS Web creates a website bucket and CloudFront distribution in your connected AWS account and manages complete releases through a simple upload interface. Amplify Hosting provides an AWS-managed application hosting workflow, including manual deployments and Git-connected workflows.
| Need | InsertCart AWS Web | AWS Amplify Hosting |
|---|---|---|
| Upload a built static website | ZIP or folder through the new backend; templates through the original fallback. | Manual deployment without connecting Git is supported. |
| Manage S3 and CloudFront resources directly | Website bucket and distribution appear in your AWS account. | Hosting is managed through the Amplify app workflow. |
| Deploy on Git commits | Not included in this version. | A Git-based deployment workflow is available. |
| Run server-side rendered applications | This version hosts static files only. | Supports documented SSR frameworks and deployment workflows. |
| Restore an upload | Restore a completed release through the dashboard. | Evaluate the current Amplify deployment workflow for your app. |
| Costs | The tool has no service fee; your AWS services are billed separately. | Review current Amplify pricing and your account eligibility. |
When this tool is a useful starting point
Consider InsertCart AWS Web when you already have browser-ready files, want to inspect the underlying hosting resources, and prefer a guided upload workflow over wiring those resources together manually. The dashboard is designed for small portfolios, landing pages, static documentation, and exported websites.
When to evaluate Amplify
Evaluate Amplify when you want a Git-connected workflow or an application framework that needs server rendering. A ZIP upload is not unique to this tool: Amplify also supports manual static deployments. Our aim is to make the own-account S3 and CloudFront workflow easier to understand and maintain.
Check Amplify’s manual deployment documentation and its framework and workflow documentation before choosing. Compare the requirements of your actual project, including builds, redirects, backend services, and ongoing maintenance.
